The Italian-flagged Grande Costa D'Avorio, a combination roll-on/roll-off (ConRo) ship, caught fire on July 5, 2023, while loading used vehicles for export at Port Newark, New Jersey. On behalf of salvors acting under their OPA '90 agreement with the vessel's owner OOS89 attended on site to assist in the fire fighting efforts and the subsequent cargo discharge operations.
